JuanPC Budget PC October 2009 Edition

Analysis for Core Components

Compared to last the July / September guide for the JuanPC you are going to add about  1690 mainly because of the increase in RAM. There isn’t much difference between the builds as we chose the Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 instead of opting for a AMD Athlon II X2 build.

Things move slowly at the value segment of computer hardware. This build will last anyone out there quite a while as long as they don’t have demanding applications. If demands calls for faster computing then simply heading to the Gigabyte’s bios settings will unleash the sleeping wolfdale core in the E5300. If you are lucky you’ll hit 4 ghz. Expect 50% overclocks with an aftermarket cooler or around 3.3 to 3.5ghz  ghz 24/7  for the little retail cooler.

If value gaming is required then you can just drop in your favorite video card. Perhaps one of the 4770 cards or even upcoming  5700 Radeon series from AMD.
